Serious management software has been expensive for decades, and not by accident: it was sold to whoever could pay for an implementation. The result is that the tools which let an organisation understand its own money have been out of reach of the organisations that needed them most.
What we do about it
Projekt Republic brings projects, tasks, time tracking, CRM and invoicing into one tool, and it has a free plan. Not a crippled version used as bait: the tool a small team can genuinely operate on.
The difference between a team that knows which project carries its margin and one that does not is the difference between deciding and guessing. That information should not be a luxury.
The other barrier is administrative
There is a second, less discussed exclusion: not being able to operate internationally because the paperwork defeats you. Kodiak Base exists for that — and it is why we say before you buy that a US LLC does not change where you pay tax, rather than letting the person with the least room for error find out later.
Without figures we do not have
We are not going to publish a number of organisations impacted. The temptation exists and the figure would look good, but counting free-plan users as social impact is counting sign-ups, not progress. When we have a measure that means something, we will publish it.
